Properties Committee

The mission of the Monmouth Council Properties Committee is the upkeep and future planning of all Council owned properties including Quail Hill Scout Reservation, Forestburg Scout Reservation and The Monmouth Council BSA Service Center. We operate on the premise that we want to leave it better than we found it for tomorrow’s youth and we invite the participation of all. There are countless ways to help the Properties Committee including Campbuilder days, material or monetary donations or perhaps your unit would like to champion a project. Please click on the “volunteer” link and an on-line form will help you determine how best to join our committee’s efforts. If you choose to donate financially, please click on the “donate” button above and follow the instructions therein. A Donation to Quail Hill or Forestburg is an Investment in the Future

Whether it’s your time, tools, money or building materials, when you give to Monmouth Council Properties you further the character formation of generations of boys by giving them a place to learn, grow, develop and discover.

Both Quail Hill and Forestburg are always in need of building materials and money to purchase tools and construction supplies. We maintain an ongoing wish list of tools and equipment needed at the camp and always welcome solicitations of contractors and companies. Consider donating excess materials from your recent home improvement project, or take it upon yourself to ask contractors or businesses to donate their excesses. Oftentimes good materials go to waste merely because businesses and contractors do not know that our camps exists or of the camps’ needs. You can change this. Contact Ranger Adam Shumard at Quail Hill or Ranger George Kaiser at Forestburg to offer a contribution or find out what the camp needs.

Should you have the resources to contribute financially to a camp improvement project and wish to do so please follow this link to the Monmouth Council webpage and click on the donate tab there. This will connect you to a secure website that will permit you to safely make a donation to our camps directly or the council’s general operating fund. All donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. Be sure to notate that you want the contribution to go directly to Quail Hill or Forestburg facility upgrades or to a specific project that you have discussed with one of our Rangers.
