Scouts BSA Skilled Trades Week

Monmouth Council, BSA in partnership with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9 presents Skilled Trades Week 2024, July 29-Aug 1

This life-experience program will enable our council to deliver an extraordinary program for Scouts who are interested in learning from experts in their trades.  

This program will be from Monday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM held at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9:
2 Iron Ore Rd @ Route 33, Englishtown, NJ 07726

The opportunity is available to earn different skilled merit badges such as plumbing and welding. 

Course Requirements BE PREPARED 1. Long sleeve tee shirt 2. Long pants (preferably jeans) 3. Work Boots of Hiking Boots (NO CROCS OR OPEN TOED SANDALS) 4. Work Gloves (I will have some cotton work gloves if you do not have any) 5. Safety Glasses will be provided for shop 6. Pencil 7. Bag Lunch (refrigerator, Soda Machine and Snack Machine Available will need quarters for Machine) 8. Bring Blue Cards 9. Plumbing Merit Badge Book 10. Plumbing Merit Badge Worksheet if you already started it. (Blank worksheet will be available) Date Time Merit Badge Number of Scout

Event Costs and Frequently Asked Questions

Cost: $350 per Youth Participant. The event will supply proper adult supervision.

Scouting Registration: All Participants must be actively registered in a Scout's BSA Troop or Venturing Crew.

Age Requirements: All Participants must be between 13 and 17 years of age by the FIRST day of the event.
